How I use an expert’s archive to prepare new scripts.

Older videos contain useful stories, explanations and answers to client questions. I organise them by topic and link them to the original recordings so the team can use them in new videos while preserving the expert’s wording.

The challenge

  • Videos, Shorts and streams sat in one feed, hiding the full history of each topic.
  • Paraphrasing easily changed the expert’s language and lost strong examples, stories and phrases.

Key decisions

  1. Exact speech lives separately

    I keep the original transcript separate from edited copy and new scripts.

    A quote stays verifiable while an article or script can still read naturally.

  2. Keep the timestamp with the quote

    I link arguments, stories and examples to the original video and timestamp.

    The team can find the required idea directly and see its original context.

  3. Results stay inside each format

    For comparisons, I record the video format, publication date and date of the analytics export.

    Shorts are compared with other Shorts, and long lessons with other long lessons.

What changed

The working database links topics, arguments, examples and quotes to original recordings. A writer can return to the context and select material for a new script.
